As long as you’re at it: the postcard stamps are good only for postcards between 3.5 x 5 in and 4.25 x 6 in; a lot of postcards you see are bigger than that and will need a regular first class stamp.

as I point out in the next post, Kennedy actually went to Mississippi in 1957, right after Thurmond called for massive resistance and states' rights, to express support for desegregation---that's why he lost electoral votes to Harry Flood Byrd
