And the Dem response, if we can even call it that, to 2000 was wildly inadequate. Republicans are still madder about Robert fucking Bork than Dems ever got about Bush v. Gore. It should have been turned instantly into a tool for mobilization for a generation.

You are absolutely correct. I am so happy to have voted against both, for what good that did. I’ve always lived in a red state and feel as though my presidential vote has never counted.
