I think rejecting objectivity is a rejection of absolutism. And I would describe myself as a postmodernist and very much not a rationalist. The we that depends on it is not one I am a member of. But that doesn't mean I unilaterally reject all of academia.

Physics managed to recognise the limitations of Newtonian mechanics without dissipating into a puddle of sadness. Admitting error does not have to be the end of the world.
