This was a thing back in the 70's. It was called "dumbing down" books. The idea was that kids would read more if they never had to deal with a word over 2-3 syllables or had to look up in a dictionary.

And you don't get much for $3.95/packet. Now that I've got 4 raised beds in, I'll plant onions, garlic and carrots this fall. Probably spinach and some other cool weather crops also.

I had 3 onions sprout last fall. I put them in my garden. I pulled two of them. They had turned into about 6 onions each. The last one I have left to go to seed for this fall.

The hard part about this is that if you're in a rural area, TSC is what you got. Also, the people there are nice. They're friends and I like them. And, did TSC EVER support Pride? I don't recall seeing much in the stores about it.

I'm using this to combat my inherent laziness. To avoid media, I go outside, garden, build, watch the birds...something. If I sit in the house, I will consume media and snacks. Oh..also, I'm digging into books. :) May I suggest @marthawells.bsky.social books. Any of them. Murderbot especially.
