it's pretty much immigration or ID cards (ie, we do what the rest of Europe does; Britain is only a a high value immigration target because you can get paid here on an easy grey market. Of course, measures exist to prevent this but they're red tape hell and thus easy to ignore.

the ONLY advice I will give on this because it is the only advice you or they need is JUST GO TO RICHER SOUNDS. GO TO THE SHOP. ASK THE SUPERNERDS THEY KNOW EVERYTHING AND TRULY WANT TO HELP YOU. Sorry for the emphasis but it's very important. They also price-match even against online sellers.

I sometimes think about these things, and how when I was a kid that was all there was and then cassette players came in but not cassette recorders unless you had ludicrous money and then in my teens suddenly you could get those too and how incredibly it seemed to be able to record stuff yourself.

at my last job I got "Rich, would you like to join the neurodivergent group" from HR and I said "I'm not neurodivergent, I have combat-based PTSD and an eidetic memory" and they said "well you are a bit... you know" and I said "don't ever fucking speak to me again" which was apparently wrong.

So I have a hospital bed and table in my front room, they've discharged ma without half the medication on her list, I need to go buy a third of that, the discharge sheet says subcutaneous injections three times per day, the nurse is only coming once per day starting tomorrow and I am clueless.

It's incredibly well made. Feels like arthouse telly. Attention to detail is superb. The sound engineering is good enough to give me flashbacks and some of them are good flashbacks.
