But this is actually a hoax post, i don't think it ever happened? And there's plenty of halal in regions of the USA, can't speak to the food deserts, of course. But not having halal is the least of their problems.

It comes off as a hoax, but there are plenty of places all over that have options. Just like kosher places, pick a vegan restaurant if it's important to you. But there are halal and kosher stores around here, also (New Orleans metro).

Yes, that may be a hoax. I am not sure. In many places in Europe menus have been changed to accommodate Muslims. As long as there are choices for people I am all for it. I am just no fan of forcing food choices on people because there are minorities with special needs.
