I'd watch it. I think the issue is too much ambition. Everyone wants to make an 80s sci fi action comedy. You could make an indie drama. With boglins and wrestling.

Roger Ebert was really good at movie appreciation, not just critique. His Great Movies reviews are like a rewiring of the brain. Watch the movie, read the essay, then watch it again through his eyes.
