If you're worried they might replace your pink and green with other colors, the repair doesn't look hard. (That page also has a repair guide video, and I just watched it, it's just screws and spudgers.)

We sent all of ours, including a pink and green pair, in for free repair because of the drift problem in '21. It takes some time to get them back, but we haven't had any trouble since.

There's also some evidence that H1 antihistamines can have a protective effect, so that's another option for a protective layer for those who can take them.

The more layers you have, the less likely an infection will get through all of them. ❤️

For a home or other personal space, a CR box or two are way more accessible for air cleaning. We've been running a box fan one at home for the past couple of years. I've got a quieter PC fan version in the works that's just waiting on a part, but those are a bit more expensive and complicated.

For now, it still looks pretty promising as a way of cleaning indoor air of all kinds of crud. I haven't seen any solid recommendations for home use though, and anyone looking into it needs to be careful that they're actually getting what they think they are, because UV can be dangerous.

UVC is a type of ultraviolet light that kills microbes, but can also damage eye and skin cells. Far UVC is similar but has a shorter wavelength, and as of now seems like it cannot penetrate eyes or skin, but still kills micro-crud in the air. It is still being tested for rl use and safety.

Yeah. Just yeah. I'm on the older millennial side and my kids are getting older and I just do not know how to do this. The pandemic has been one more experience of everything I was ever prepared for being smashed to pieces just as I got there. How tf do you raise kids if you can't trust anything.

That's the part that made me laugh and threw me completely out of it for a bit. Lungs don't inflate on their own like that. They're not self-operating like a heartbeat is. Would have disturbed me much more just imagining him dying that way without the impossible still breathing thing.

Appreciate you asking ❤️ It's 85 this evening and will hit mid 90s tomorrow. We have fans and still have cold water. It's going to be uncomfortable and disruptive in some very stressful ways, (we'll see if I can sleep tonight,) but we're not in immediate danger.

I've built my own PCs ever since a high school friend's dad taught me how. I'm good at getting what I need out of a budget. For years I've run my OS on a 128g SSD, and used a larger hhd for programs and media, but more and more things don't let you do that, or put files on the OS drive anyway.
