I didn't really compare my MRI results from Monday to the MRI I had done in March. I am happy to report, I healed 2 of my 3 herniations. L3-4 is normal, L4-5 just has dedication with no herniations or stenosis. My L5-S1 is still fucked but, hey, I healed 2/3 discs with the work I put in π
It's really just a mix of the wait for the appointment and fearful of triggering another flare up. If I have to have surgery, I'm going to get through it. It's just a lot on my mind
I have a feeling that I will be undergoing back surgery. Appointments that were scheduled in August are now next week. The person who does my Acupuncture at the VA is an ER doctor that has access to my file and her tone was very somber. I'm trying not to overthink this but, it's hard not to...
Feeling much much better today. Can even sit down now now lol
So glad I went to get a second option because the VA was ensuring that I would go back to square one.
Going to definitely take it easy the next week. Light exercises and walking until my steroid (Prednisone) cycle is finished.
Today was a day of being validated for the first time with everything that I presented and told the history, the doctor listened to me, didnt put up an argument. Just validated my evidence, which is hella reassuring, and this puts my mind at ease. It definitely brightened up my feelings towards docs
Just a plateau! It happens :3
Could also try to get more steps in the day. Easy way is drinking water in a smaller container so you have to get up more to fill it up. Plus it's a nice productivity hack because it makes you take a small break from work which helps with not sitting on one place
Try spiking your calorie intake every once in a while. Your metabolism will get used to it. It's what I've been doing. Have like a day out of the month and eat more than what you normally eat. I started doing that when I would plateau and would get good results on the scale and fat loss pics.
Always take your weight every time during the same day and take that and average that out for a week. This is the most realistic way to track fat loss. Depending on your diet and training, more fiber and protein, and carbs, your going to have food in you longer and you could be building muscle.
Just go to wherever hospital of choice you want and call this number:
(844) 727-7842
At the hospital, just say you want your shit billed to the VA and call that number to report your visit within 3 days of discharge
Got discharged and got what I needed to not go back to square one. It took 4 ER visits and alot of self advocacy but, I got it done. Luckily have my neurosurgery appointment with the VA next week but also I'm most likely going to go through this system to look at surgery.
It's the exact same thing that put me on my ass for months. I'm going to see if I can get one tonight to give me some time but, surgery is most likely the play. I just need time because what took my ability to walk away was the inability of medical professionals to do their job.
And doctors wonder why people don't listen to them. This is the most upsetting experience in my life. Having doctors completely ignore you and then thank you for your service is the most helpless feelings I've ever experienced and it keeps happening.
Well, this is not the update I wanted to post. I am back in the ER due to the VA dropping the ball twice. Stenosis is showing its ugly head. Lost control of my leg and now my bladder. I fell out of my car and pissed all over myself. I just need one doctor to help. At a new hospital to find answers.
Turns out, I don't have a back strain lol. Called my personal trainer to give me some exercises for my back and he put me through movement tests. Turns out, my left hamstring is strained and got really tight which was pulling my hips, which pulled my bulge into my nerves. Rehab the hammy stats now.
Welp, figured out what is causing this. I pulled strained my hamstring which is pulling my hips which means putting tension on my lower back which the bulge there is triggering the sciatica nerve. This is why sitting sucks right now haha.
Another rough night last night. Had to go to the ER last night to get some kind of pain relief. They gave me a Valium and Fentanyl cocktail which gave me relief for a couple hours but went right back to spasms when I got home. Calling doctors tomorrow. Still strong and still fighting π¦Ύ
Had a pretty rough spasm period from last night to this afternoon. It was mainly my hip and glute spasms that sucked. I think a similar chain of events happened when it put me down. My strength, diet, and health is much better so it's nowhere near as bad. Still learning which I'm still progressing:3
I'm tryin' to work up the motivation to go outside in the heat and work on my RV. These cutoffs have been helping with my ventilation needs. #SneakPeakSaturday
Today marks the 1 year engagement and 3 year anniversary of @thefieryfox.bsky.social and I. These past 3 years have been nothing short of incredible and insane. I would not be where I am at today without the love and support of my fox and I wouldn't trade it for the world β€οΈπ₯°
TBANG BANG, called my shot 80 days ago. 80 days of believing in myself, never giving up, and doing this shit for me. What started as rehabilitation turned into a passion and a love.
I am a person who means what they say. The results reflect the work and grind #flexfriday
