Sounds fair. I don't tend to work on projects and only rarely collate photos as a series, so I can't offer much! But your Q does make me wonder if my confidence about a style or about a topic might be vulnerable. I don't think I've ever had feedback that shifted my direction.

I think I'd look at that as two separate issues, not one, perhaps depending on the importance of the word 'project'. But either way, being ignored is one thing, being challenged is another. I'd be sure you don't need anyone's approval to continue research that you find stimulating.

I have a V600, and like the 3200 I had before, every scan gets the Crop and Unsharp Mask before going to Curves, because scanners are scanners - they apply their own basics but it's never enough. My eyes know what I'm after and I usually do a further Crop and Curves to get the composition I want.

I was in language education and worked in different places. One job that gave annual contracts told me I could have a further year if I started a masters course. I followed through, but only because the job gave the money to pay for it. I know it's not always that simple, but it kept me in work.
