Agreed! chipmunks are super dang cute and I'd love to see them in Chicago. Niles's folks' house has a huge yard with lots of trees and prairie natives for them to feel comfortable in.

Did you know that tomorrow, June 24 2024 is national make a terrible comic day? You don’t have to make comics every hour or a multi-page story, you just have to string a few panels together. It’s mandatory especially if you haven’t drawn anything for yourself lately and you miss it

DES MOINES! Yesterday I visited the art center, ate a grilled cheese at Cheese Bar, had 2 scoops at Black Cat ice cream, went up to EMC overlook, scooped the loop, and marveled at the view from the Capital building.

Today at 2:30 I’ll be at Beaverdale books!

A sad fact about these drawings is they were made for what was going to be a Chicago-food-themed street festival that would have happened in spring 2020. :( A happy fact about them is that I had a super delicious Chicken Vesuvio the other night at Club Lucky in Bucktown. :)

Oh that's interesting!! I had read that XIII and XIX territories didn't overlap at all. I've been so excited for brood XIII, but this is the only one I've seen in the city limits. Meanwhile, my friend in Naperville has them swarming her house!

I was about to force @megamanchego.bsky.social into a trip to the forest preserves today to finally see some Brood XIII cicadas, but!! then I found one in the community garden I volunteer at this morning! He was so cute and small, much smaller (but more fashionable) than the annual cicadas we see.
