Interestingly, if Labour gets a massive majority like this might be, that might actually pose a bigger problem for Labour than a slightly smaller majority, because a massive majority allows marginalisation and faction-alisation to occur within the MPs (particularly amongst the less experienced ones)

The only genuine benefit from such a massive majority would be electoral reform to make it a genuine three party system, where it becomes properly proportional.

Indeed - and even if they're obedient lamps, wrangling a huge flock of noobs is a logistical nightmare. Especially when it looks a near-certainty the new government's honeymoon is going to be the political equivalent of a wet bank holiday weekend in Skegness.

Not to mention, if those MPs that weren't expected to win start winning thanks to the landslide, and if you don't have a lot of depth in party talent, that can be ... problematic.
