I hate that she used divide instead of multiply because that implies a relationship between (narcissism+social media+midlife crisis). With a divisor there's an implication of the ability to simplify the fraction or cancel out terms or units.

Well... I am in total agreement with the general idea here... BUT THE FUCKING MATH ANALOGY HAS GOT TO GO. God, can I EVER get away from math? Even sociology and political science are RIDDLED with fucking MATH.

Narcissism does a lot lifting here because it really prevents most types of empathy allowing you to center everything on yourself and the right is all about selfism and hate. The rest are just a multiplier of the marcissim.

Wow. Ty for posting (skeeting?). Gonna have to set aside time to read that article for sure. I was radicalized by “No Logo” back in college. I’m in my 40s now. I never grew out of being radical; turns out this is just how I feel about the world 🙃
