I'll never forget the time I was in the car with Dad, he was driving, and two boys around 10 I'd guess came up to the window. We rolled it down and they asked "What time is it?" I looked over at the clock before it dawned on me... "Adventure Time!" I told them. These dudes absolutely lost it.

You are not Betraying The Cause by finding solace in stupid tv shows or video games or anything else that means nothing but makes you happy. If it gets you through and keeps you on your feet, there's the value, right there
