In fact, dirigibles are a pretty sensible way to use hydrogen. In contrast to heating or to use as fuel for almost anything. Hydrogen is much needed for industrial processes, partly to replace oil-based products; it's would be totally nuts to use it as vastly more expensive electricity replacement.

If it can go on electricity, using hydrogen is the wrong idea. Which basically leaves rockets as the only thing where hydrogen as fuel can make sense. Corollary: If it works with renewables, nuclear is also the wrong idea. Which mostly leaves warships and the outer solar system for nuclear.
