I just want to state for the record that Ash has his followup appointment and suture removal tomorrow, I asked if they wanted me to load him up on some gabapentin, and they said no!

I'm sure you've more experience than me with these things, but if you're concerned about the lack of gabapentin, removing sutures is generally painless. They'll clip the suture with scissors and pull it out with tweezers. The baby may feel a slight tug but rarely pain. Huzzah for Ash's recovery.
