Time to go to bed, need to rise early to dose the pups 3 hours before their vet appt. My last 10 rescues loved the vet, these guys came with serious vet trauma. I wish I knew their history. Today, we'll chill with lots of loving and a few extra treats.

There was lead in EVERY tampon they tested.
There was less lead in organic tampons, but those had higher concentrations of arsenic.

I was born in San Diego, grew up in San Carlos on the La Mesa border, and in the 60s went to a freakish Christian day school in Lemon Grove (that church on the train tracks). I forget if I once told you that when I rescued my current two pups and called the chip company to update the info, they told me I was the 4th name on the account but couldn't tell me more due to hipaa! Apparently, the previous owners are protected (not the dogs). Also, chip those pets, people!!!

Listening right now, it's nice in that it's crisp and energetic, but hard for me to rate it above the OG recordings and the versions I saw at live shows! I think it's a great cover, but doesn't have the fabulous live, "Oh, lord, now!" energy. Yet I agree it's a great cover. So glad you shared it!

Back in those days, our favorite holiday gift for guests and acquaintances was a niche paperback book titled something like, "The 101 Best Videos You Haven't Seen." It was such a great pre/early internet resource. Also saved a lot of time not wandering about the video store aisles aimlessly.

@sesmith.bsky.social Upon rescuing current pups, took them to a "chain" vet a block from home for nail trim (had NO idea they had vet stress). Tech said, don't ever bring them here w/o sedating first. Me: can I get an Rx for sedative? Tech: No, vet won't examine w/o sedative in order to prescribe.

I'm sure you've more experience than me with these things, but if you're concerned about the lack of gabapentin, removing sutures is generally painless. They'll clip the suture with scissors and pull it out with tweezers. The baby may feel a slight tug but rarely pain. Huzzah for Ash's recovery.
