We were also a bit busy to think of it, there'll certainly be time to examine it better now.

The added bonuses to this is they wouldn't need to make those BS loss fights either. He didn't actually have to be stronger than the WoL to be powerful enough that its better to avoid confrontation. We didn't need another Zenos.

If you ask me either Ran'jit should have died in the desert or Rynne was the one to stop him.

See in I actually think one of the weaknesses in shadowbringers was how it insisted on making Ran'jit your "rival" instead of focusing on his conflict with Thancred and Rynne. I don't think we needed to be the ones to stop him and I like that they let an NPC have more relevance here.

They were very in character during contest though, which is part of what made it so jarring I think.

Yeah, it felt like they held them back to make it a dramatic reveal, but it just isn't very in character for them to not be helping if they were still there.

Yeah, like that felt a little forced. the thing is it probably could worked better if it wasn't a stranger. Have them intimidate someone into doing it that we trusted. As for the second thing, we didn't really have time to get into too much.

It's fucking wild, many of them were even well established in politics at the age most millenials are, but Gen X and Millennials can't be represented in politics because they refuse to step aside like their parents did for them.

The lead pipes thing is even wilder when you learn that's where the word plumber comes from, lead is called plumbum in Latin. The linguistic connection between lead and plumbing endures to this day.

Another image set for #FCF featuring one of the few jock straps my ass hasn't threatened to break.

Honestly just having fun doing these.

I mean it got a pretty recent overhaul graphically, but MMOs always have to be a few steps behind for performance reasons. Like this is my guy in the opening to the current expansion. I think it came out pretty good?

Honestly I didn't think I'd be as into them as I am given they just have the ears/tail and then eyes or fangs depending on if sun or moon. When I started playing it was just the only real option, but seeing my WoL mannerisms playing out in cutscenes really endeared me to it.

One of my favourite animations in the game is the miqo'te /aback animation. That's the one that plays in cutscenes when your WoL is surprised, he startles just like a cat even raises his hands up in front of his face.

Nah, the best sitting animation is the perch.

The ideal would be a combination of hrothgar and miqo'te, because hroth while having more of the features just move and act like some dude and that's boring. If I have to accept less animal features for better animations where the ears/tail move and react, I'll take the animations.

The main reason I play miqo'te and not hroth personally is the animations. Miqo'te might have less animal traits but they feel way less vestigial than Hrothgar's the animation work for them is just so much better. My miqo'te feels like a cat person.

Good fucking lord. You really just read the most uncharitable interpretation of anyone that disagrees with you huh? You're extremely disingenuous. You just make shit up about what other people are saying and doing. This is serious I get that. But you aren't helping.

I've literally seen people try to make Mysterious Woman out to be the villain for killing him and it's like... guy committed genocide instead of going to therapy there was no coming back from that.

Here maybe this will help.

The church is not gay it marries gay people. So homophobes hate the church. That's not using gay rights to protect the church, its pointing out why they might be doing the thing and that doesn't mean the church is necessarily good either.

Pointing out a legitimate fucking motive for why they might do this, isn't "using trans rights to protect a cis man". It's just explaining one of the reasons why people find this particular source insufficient. It's one of many red flags.

Yet again not what is happening here. People are pointing out (correctly) that TERFs do not like people who support trans rights and they are not above lying about people. Your sole source has even lied about people before.

At this point in time, it is the correct action. That doesn't change even if it turns out to be true because you can only act based on what you have. A single podcast citing itself which has a bad history with the truth and an axe to grind doesn't pass muster, it just doesn't.

And once again, the fact it's a TERF podcast talking about an outspoken supporter of trans rights does make it more suspect. I'm sorry but identifying biases is important for information verification, that's not "conveniently dismissing".

Whose dismissing it? They're asking for better sourcing.

We don't have that. We have the same source claiming this is what he said.

Right, he doesn't have to be trans to be a target. Just be considered an enemy.

No one said he was.

And that's not what is happening, people are identifying a bias and how that bias is applicable.

You're honestly claiming TERFs wouldn't go after supporters of trans people? Because that's naive.

Margarita has posted them somewhere. It's a supposed paraphrase that they say came from the podcast which claimed it was Neil's words.

But it's not about "using bigotry against trans people to protect a cis man", it's wanting properly vetted information from a more reputable less biased source. That's reasonable.

Shade's avatar Shade @shadenox.bsky.social

You also have to account for biases, them being TERFs is actually relevant because Neil is an outspoken supporter of trans rights. That does make him a target of ire for them. If these do turn out to be true then he's a creep and should be condemned as such.

No but I am trained in information verification. One source with a history of lying is not reliable and they're also the only source of the confession. Which just obviously isn't how you confirm things.
