I broke up with my ex a couple months ago now. I spent most of a decade attached to someone who monopolized my attention and energy to the point where I've lost a lot of myself. Can't even sustain conversations/relationships I WANT to have these days cuz those skills have atrophied

It's weird how moving 1500 miles to a place I've never been before was one of the few parts of this relationship I DON'T regret. On the plus side, gender transition is a perfect time to rebuild my shit. I guess? Don't mind me, just coming to terms with having coasted emptily for far too long
