Here’s the thing about Tressie leaving. I’m sure a lot of people who follow me have been annoyed about my regular complaints about what feels like a unique type of reply guy and self righteous antagonism on here. But the reason I point it out is to try to get users and the Bsky team to intervene.

I know you aren't a software developer, but do you have thoughts about the sorts of controls or precautions that would help? Sometimes I think about this and despair, because it feels like people online are always going to be like this—though that doesn't mean you should be at their mercy!

It is obvious to me that Black users and especially Black woman users get more crap here, yes just like on every other site. But we were promised more civility here and it does not help to say other places are worse b/c other places have more Black users and still have Black enclaves.
