I'm just wondering, do we kill that empathy and sadness in young boys so it comes out in anger and they grow up to be psychopaths? Because a lot of dots are connecting.

Okay so T has made me more sad and empathetic, and I talked to other people on T and they said the same thing. And now I'm thinking about how we always say men are more aggressive because of T, but also, how the heart of anger is always sadness and like....what has society done?!?

My favorite part of autism is wondering after every conversation, if this is it. If this is the conversation where I do or say something wrong without realizing it and ruin a friendship. Then just wait to see if their texts come off as distant or not to see the results 🙃

Self care is accepting you have chronic fatigue and there may be more days hand writing in bed than sitting at your computer because it takes too much energy to even sit. Even if it's annoying/depressing to accept.

I just finished reading Yellowface today, and although there's so much I could talk about in this book, it really spoke to me about writing. How trad publishing can morph your art into numbers and the next best thing, while indie publish is more like sharing your work/passion with the world.

Don't hate me, but I'm listening to Sense and Sensibility and it's giving "this should have been an email" vibe so far. I'm six chapters in and I still feel like I'm listening to a prologue that should have been shortened into a few pages but just keeps going.

I love noise canceling headphones! I went from biting peoples heads off just for talking to me, all the way to being super chill with headphones. I did not realize so much background noise bothered me that much.

Feeling this hard as a mother of an autistic 7yo. And, tbh, her behaviour's not even that unusual for a child her age. She just comes over as a bit over-friendly (asking kids on play dates when they've only just met, wanting to play unicorn tag), but Christ the way some ppl react to her *already*...

This year, in scrivener alone, I wrote 211,538 words total. I'm not sure if I should be happy that I could write that much in six months (I took a break for the first 6 months of the year). Or insulted that I don't have a book done after all those words. I'm a bit of both.

I would never tell my work that I have autism, but I did find one sentence in a shared document that had a slightly different font and changed it during a meeting in front of my boss, who was shocked I could notice such a little detail, which I feel like is kind of the same thing.
