Yesterday I heard the term gerontocracy to describe our way of government. I keep wondering where our youth are and why they are not getting involved in their future. Where are those who are idealistic and want our people to have good and honest leaders, who believe in doing good?

We’re living through an era when everything needs to be upended yet so many people are clinging tightly to the edge of the pool. I understand why this is: when things feel uncertain, the status quo is a mirage of ‘safety’. But we need people who are willing to swim in the deep end & offer new paths

I was so disappointed at the debate last night. I know Joe is a good man and president. I also think he has lost a step. I say this as a 72 year old professional. I think the Democratic Party has done a disservice to use by not having a plan to develop leaders.

Young women need to step up to the plate, carry the torch… whatever because those of us from the 60s are too old. If you don’t do it, who will. Fight for your future. Pay attention to what is happening. Vote and run for political office.

I am grateful to Julie Mason for bringing important topics to the forefront. I listened with interest about concerns of NATO allies if Trump re-elected. I share concerns about the image of US among European allies. History does repeat itself. If NATO disbands, WWIII.

I can understand that because my husband has purchased multiple flag poles until he found “just the right one”. He won’t put up anything offensive that I think would be embarrassing. Also he would never blame me for something he did and I would never do anything to embarrass him.

Never fall into the trap of thinking there is nothing we can do. Choose to engage and become involved- it is the only way. We can change the future. Why couldn’t we work together to have limits on length Supreme Court zjustices can serve. That would benefit us, the people, not the power hungry.

The challenges of today are more important than what we faced in the 60s and 70s because you need to worry about the antigovernment group (Trump) and the power monger in government. You are the future. You must engage and create the future for your generation

I call on our youth (anyone 40s or less) to take up the challenge of reforming government. Pls stand up for righteousness and call us to be the best we can. Don’t accept the double talk of politicians and unfortunately our Supreme Court. U r our future.

We must begin to hold politicians and Supreme Court Justices accountable for their actions. I do not like dealing with passive aggressive people. Samuel Alito is an example of passive aggressive. Supreme Court Justices are supposed to be impartial.

The world is so complicated. We need serious-minded people leading our country to navigate complex issues. I know it may feel good in the moment to vote for someone who says and does crazy things, but there can be devastating unintended consequences. We deserve more and better.

What are you thinking? As I read about the shenanigans of the folks in Congress, I wonder about my fellow Americans who voted them into Congress. I am referring to both those who say and do outlandish things and those who are ethics-challenged. Time for a reset in Congress.
