I rarely use Instacart, but long Covid has been kicking my ass so I placed an order. The shopper is doing 3 deliveries at once, so it took 2 hours to buy everything, and the frozen stuff was all thawed by the time it arrived. It's not the shopper's fault either, that's the only was it's viable.

While the system itself has it's issues, I think it's really impressive to see how ambitious they were in making ports like Duke Nukem 3D, Symphony of the Night (unreleased), and Sonic Jam even if they fell short of the originals in pretty much every way.

I've been enjoying Rebirth a lot, but I'm also skipping a lot of that side stuff. Some side quests I go on, but I don't care to be the Queen's Blood champion of the world lol.

I have the second one because I love Legacy of the Wizard and for the price they are good collections. But I really want to see Namco tap into their 3D catalog too in addition to this stuff which is also good, but plentiful.

I'm hoping we get more Namco collections in the future, but not Pac-Man or the other 80s arcade classics, but Tekken or Ridge Racer. Even just the PS1 games in a collection would be nice.

Took my car in for new tires at 8am this morning, and now I'm getting new tires, new brake pads, new rotors, new tires rods, and taking time off work on Monday to get my car back. This weekend sucks.

I'm happy the BTS Army is starting to pop up here. Before the last US election on that other site, people posted a lot of hateful stuff. But, often when they did, the army was there to post BTS memes, gifs, and videos to flood out the hate and it was beautiful to see.

It's a game that I associate with Game Center CX because that was the first episode I saw and I absolutely love it. It's so troll-y but also fun when you stumble onto new warps/routes.

Messing around with the Saroo on my day off. It's a Saturn accessory that lets you boot games from an SD card. You can also save directly to the sd card and it acts as a RAM cart for games that use one. It's a really useful little cart!

I've been playing Shanghai Mini on the Neo Geo Pocket Color, and it's very forgiving because there's less randomness to it. If I tried to clear a board and couldn't because the tiles I needed were inaccessible, I'd lose my mind!

There are a lot of terrible ones, in fact most probably fall into that category, but some like the Miyoo Mini Plus are really nice. I still don't like that they come with roms already on them though, it feels like buying an mp3 player filled with someone else's music.

My FFV Four Job Fiesta wasn't going so well, and after struggling with a Thief, Berzerker, Bard and Dragoon I decided to throw in the towel, donate again and swap out half the team. Now I have a Samurai and a Summoner and feel like I'll actually be able to finish after starting over again.

I still can't believe Nintendo is making a new Mario and Luigi game without Alpha Dream. I'm glad that the series isn't dead, but AD added that Tomato Adventure charm to it which might be hard to replicate. Either way I'm looking forward to it.

GOG has the original three Resident Evil games in a bundle for $24. RE1 is ready now, and the others are coming soon, but for the longest time these have been a real pain to play on PC and now they are available with modern controller support for modern PCs!

I'm curious if there are any legal implications to this. Like if someone has a sensitive document on their Desktop, then Microsoft copies it to their servers without this user's knowledge that seems like an issue. Especially if One Drive gets hacked and documents like that are exposed to bad actors.

I just got back from vacation and while it was nice to be offline for a week, a lot of the people here brighten my day and I did missed blue sky. The vacation itself was an absolute train wreck, but my wife got me a PS5 for our anniversary which was an awesome surprise.

The US food landscape is wild. There are a lot of food deserts too where produce is hard to come by. I used to work with dieticians and learned a lot about how broken our food industry is.

I've been looking forward to seeing what jobs I rolled in the FFV Four Job Fiesta. It's a charity event where you get random jobs in FFV and try to play through it with just those jobs. I got thief, berzerker, bard, and dragoon 😬. Should be an interesting run.

The honest truth is because without them it tastes metallic due to processing. Seriously. There's a book called Salt Sugar Fat that goes over it, but this video shows it too around the 2:40 mark or so. Clickbait thumbnail aside, it's a pretty good video.

I'm getting it because I want to play the Silent Hill 2 Remake no matter how it turns out. Whether it's a total trainwreck, or a masterpiece, I want to experience it for myself. And then whatever else I can play on it is just a bonus in my eyes.

I played that and Luxor which is kind of similar but you move left and right to shoot instead of a circle. I still do sometimes, but some levels give me anxiety. It gets so fast!

I don't do mods as much as I used to, but I'm proud of how this one came out. It's a Miyoo Mini plus with a UV printed shell and pink buttons, both from Etsy.

I love GOG and their approach to drm-free downloads of games, but the more modern games are so large I wish they would offer larger download chunks. I think the 4GB cap was originally used to let them fit on DVD-Rs, but your download choices are the slow Galaxy client, or downloading 26 files lol.

I'm priced out of buying a Turbo Express, but between the Analogue Pocket and all these emulator handhelds that pop up I don't mind not having original hardware anymore. I love that they made these adapters.

I wonder if they're going to adjust this loophole if enough people start using it. They'll probably scramble, but I think a company the size of Adobe would probably still take 2 weeks to do it if they work in sprints unless they treat it as a hot fix. But take advantage of it while it still exists!

The new Peach game is pretty fun. I feel like a lot of people dismiss it, but it's got a lot of the humor and charm that makes Luigi's Mansion fun, and there's a lot of variety. But don't take my word for it, there's a free demo.

Updating terms of service to require buy-in on things like this should be illegal imo. Like MS Word shouldn't be able to read and store info about legal documents made with it, etc... and this seems like pretty much the same thing.

I love these and having an official release of the MSX version of Legacy of the Wizard makes me incredibly happy. I never thought something that obscure would be so accessible. The Ys releases are pretty fun too... I need to check out more of these because retro Famicom is pretty consistent.

I usually don't play undubs because voice acting never really bothered me, but going back to play the Yakuza on PS2 after playing the Kiwami version makes it feel very rough. There is an undub that makes it a lot better, and a new one just came out giving Yakuza 2 the same treatment. It helps a lot!
