People don't get just how exasperating this is, the fact that even after GCS and 9 years going through the GIC as I've now been discharged that my GP could just decide they don't want to honour my prescriptions and boom I'm in crisis, there's literally no obligation on them!

Urgh, much the same here, working in tech, every meeting I’m now talked over, second guessed and accused of being emotional when I’m dead pan but I get to laugh as I charge a daily rate and get paid anyway. But you know make socialisation or some bullshit.

Reading Christine Burns book Trans Britain they had to be dragged kicking and screaming to to the GRA 2004 and the EA2010, during the push for same sex marriage Trans people were told not to fuss about our needs as it was a step too far and that they’d come back for us once it was through. 🙄

IMO this stems from the failed austerity project all over Europe, look at Spain as an example of shunning austerity, prospering and the far right struggling. Even its chief architects now admit it was a failure but so many countries are still committed to it.

Indeed its still in use today normally for depression but now using anaesthesia which is why it’s so hard to get a definitive answer as to when it was stopped for torturing trans people on the NHS, I specify NHS as if you’re ‘consenting’ it is still used by conversion therapists which is dire.

I’m so sorry you had to suffer that. It’s a common theme I’ve come across when looking at research journals into it, often subjects are down as ‘consenting’ but not the circumstances so it’s hard to gauge the truth.
