I was half expecting the sauce to be melted cheese or chopped up jalapenos. But ranch and hot sauce do go great together! I'm not sure about the texture of those things once you get past the first crunchy-ish bite.

I have been a fanboy of MT for as long as I can remember. Question about the 100 year delay for his auto biographical writing: Is it likely due to his deep guilt and acknowledgment of accidentally exposing his child to the cold, possibly causing his death days later? That part was so sad.

If money isn't a concern at all, you can get the best cuts of meat at a restaurant that you can't get at a grocery store. Having cooked some good steaks at home, I wasn't a true believer of this until a waiter friend of mine offered up some take home from a ritzy restaurant. (magnifique!)

I used to eat a metric crap load of Pillsbury mini pizzas, and then couldn't look at them for years. When I had a craving years later... they stopped making them. 😥 Dr.Oetker's is a little similar in taste if not size. But just not quite as good imho

The first time is always going to be confusing. The first time my sister (in the arts/early adopter) used it with me, I questioned the arbitrary element. If in keeping with cutlery, it should have at least been forks. Does anyone ever run out of spoons? I always am looking for forks.

Alito's interpretation of the statute is clearly political and disingenuous. His removing the woman/individual is consistent for ignoring the structure of the wording. His argument seems like a ransom note with bits and pieces cut out of different chunks of the statute.

I experienced 'deafening silence', and it's pretty remarkable. It was the middle of winter and the middle of nowhere. (Alberta Canada). No wind, no birds or animal life, no traffic. If you stopped dead still and quiet, the eardrums relaxed and became painful. Still memorable 30+ years later.

Snow Crash was for me, the easiest of his books to absorb. I enjoy the historical references in his books, but I did find they (or I) seemed to get more dense with later publications. Another great author with historical references: Ada Palmer. She's fantastic. Mycroft Canner > Jack Shaftoe
