There’s an evil megacorporation called Pentex who are in league with the Wyrm, and are actively putting evil spirits in their consumer products to spread corruption through the world and accelerate the end. Literally putting evil into your video games, hamburgers, and SUVs to make people worse.

Garou are part spirit and can "step sideways" into the spiritual reflection of the physical world (the Penumbra). The deeper one goes into the Umbra, the stranger things get, and there are entire realms in the Deep Umbra with their own weird laws.

So the evil, corrupted werewolves (well aside from the "good" ones that teamed up with the 3rd reich) are called black spiral dancers and .. Uh their main representative character is a huge dominatrix she-wolf. It's less cool than it sounds though.

It's a little heavy to get into now, since the core premise is that werewolves were supposed to be the protectors of the natural world and all of the things that were supposed to be signs they were losing (pollution, deforestation, man encroaching on natural spaces, global warming) are 10x worse now
