No. Be bold and take reasonable chances. Never live constrained by avoiding things that will upset those who already judge others. That is how we achieve great things. And, sometimes, the HOA will be upset and we have a bit of 'splaining to do to the paramedics.

Exactly. Reelings (esp. negative ones) are so easily spread ("crooked Fred!"). Refutation with fact takes time and unbroken attention. Those that manufacture fear always have the upper hand without an informed populace. Systemic cheats (gerrymandering, NYTimes "Don't vote!" op-eds) seal this bias.

Sleep paralysis sucks -- like a nightmare that follows you in the waking hours and can actually hurt you. Had it as a kid, grew out of it by college. It was the one thing i truly feared a visit from.

I subscribed the since the NYT 1980s. But earlier this week I cancelled, for just this reason. They are completely failing to prioritize the destruction of democracy, but worse, are echoing and amplifying propaganda in a false bothsides-ism belief that this makes their reporting better.

Swings to left and right happen, but this lulls us into a "this too will pass" complacency. With authoritarian swings, rules change so we don't swing back. There's an argument that the new POTUS immunity allows emergency declarations and removal of opponents, so rule changes have already happened.

For decades i subscribed to news, believing a free press yields an educated populace, a bedrock of Democracy. As @wsjpr.bsky.social went far-right, I left 10 yrs ago. Now, as @nytimes.com shows acquiescence to fascist propaganda, asking only the non-felon to step down, I am so done with them too.

Nothing wrong with labeling, but that's not what is happening. For starters, see policy then nudity, then prohibited items. If bad dragon relied on etsy, they would not have a single item they could sell. This is newly prohibited item list. And yes, badly written.
