those guys - Dawkins, Harris, Hitchens etc. - were a necessary step in culture, they pushed this pop atheism that was as confident & forward as evangelicalism had gotten it also attracted the laser-focused ire (& fear responses) of X-ian leaders, I was convinced.. we HAD to fight it for Jesus 🤦
