if he can live through the literal hell of the somme where almost everyone he knew died, ww2 and over a 100 million deaths between them and come away writing shit like this then i can try to fight off my own feelings of despair, which i won’t always be successful at and that’s okay. just try.

if i’m being even more honest. i find americans talking about climate change as if they’ll face even a thousandth of what ie Bengalis will if we don’t act incredibly gross the future is unwritten and no matter how bad things get i refuse to accept a better world isnt possible and worth fighting for
