I think the thing that pisses me off the most about Florida choking away a 3-0 lead is that if they lose I believe they will take the title of most pathetic franchise in NHL history away from the Canucks and Sabres. We can’t even have that anymore!

1994/2011 and the Hull goal were obviously brutal, and both franchises have the longevity argument in their favour, but getting to the finals two years in a row and losing both of them - with one of them being arguably the most crushing loss in sports history - beats that IMO

This is Sharks erasure. Being consistently great for way over a decade with no cup along with a reverse sweep tossed in is worse than just being a bad team for a long time. These last few years as a Sharks fan have been great. Zero emotional investment at all in them because they're just so bad.

Florida being the recipients of the beat down the only times 8 goals have been scored in Cup Finals games in the last 30 years (96, 23, 24 a.k.a their only Final appearances) also qualifies them for this I think.
