Here's what I don't understand - the US Supreme Court is clearly going to rule in favour of Trump re: election count and declare him President. They'll then rule in his favour when he starts locking up Democrats...but nobody seems to concerned? The election is obviously pointless and yet...nothing 🤷

They're going to have 0-2% growth, improve things by easing up planning laws, etc...things will get marginally better, and they'll scrape in again next time. By then I guess the pressure will have built to rejoin. Gonna be a long 5 yrs for them though 😬😬

Isn't it a good comparison though Charles? As I understand it, their Supreme Court have taken over governance of the state and will install Trump as President for life. It's not going to be Nazi Germany, but you'll be locked up for calling Trump a wanker, no?

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I really thought your military was going to rollover. That said, if the SC ruled Trump was the legit President, do you really think the military would go up against the SC? Surely they'd say "oh we don't get involved in politics. If SC says Trump is President that's it"?

That's not true. In the UK the Left will be the government tomorrow with centre-left opposition. The right will get around 30%. In Spain, the far right party, Vox, lost half their MPs last summer. Here in Catalonia, JxC have absolutely cratered support and can't form a gov. Shall I carry on?

He wouldn't have any choice, would he? Surely your SC would just rule "oh there was this irregularity so Trump is President" and that's that? Pretty clear they just want to establish a Francoist state now. Don't really see anyone who will stop them? (But I'm commenting from Spain, you know...🤷)

With all due respect, you haven't got a chance against your SC. They're in charge now. You're best option is to get out. Spain is lovely. We can here before Brexit and that was a very, very smart move. Come over here and build a nice new life in a free country! 🙂

Assuming Biden wins, won't the Supreme Court just overrule it and install Trump? It seems like you've already become a Francoist state, with the SC effectively governing? (Although I've not seen anyone else say this, so presumably I'm wrong...)

These guys 😡 When I was younger and training to be an evangelical minister I knocked about a with all the reformed evangelical crowd with string links to NI Presbyterianism. Loads of child abuse going on, all covered up of course (one of many reasons I became atheist 😬)

reminder that there was a time when they were literally selling radium soft drinks in the USA that were so toxic that the biggest fan of the brand had to be buried in a lead coffin because of how much radiation poisoning he got from them and this death led to the FDA regulations that exist now

My view has been, for many years, that trans people are mentally ill. It's not hard to find the evidence. They all speak like this. It's quite dangerous.
