2012 was particularly egregious. Project REDMAP delivered gerrymanders in 7 swing states that were near 50/50 but gave GOP a 2-1 advantage. Mother Jones spotted this immediately, but political scientists wallowed in denial, said it was just rural vs. urban geography.

In the past 90 years, only 7 justices were appointed by a Republican president who received a majority of votes and didn't conspire with a foreign government to get elected. These were Alito, Roberts, Stewart, Whittaker, Brennan, Harlan, and Warren.
