Pelosi is no more in charge of Capitol security than Mitch McConnell. The decision not to fortify the Capitol or activate NG was made by the Capitol Police Board. Public testimony has made it clear neither Pelosi or McConnell were even aware of the Board's internal debate about security.

I just cancelled my subscription to the NYT. They wanted to know why, and I told them they lacked objectivity and allow lies to be published in their names. I might send the twenty bucks a month to The Guardian, I certainly read them enough.

I hate trump and love a good conspiracy, but the aircraft in question require a higher level of security than a random Spirit jet, and it makes sense that they'd be parked together in a remote location where they are easier to secure.

I also have a Resident Cat. She's not much of a fan of the new black one. I go out and let him rub on me a bunch, and then go in and pet RC. If I can get them to get along, life will be easier.

We've coma a long way. He used to run away on sight. I can give him ear scritches and some light petting, but not to much. He burns out quickly, and he's pointy. I wouldn't even think of trying to pick him up yet.
