I also use mainly audiobooks (even for textbooks), but I’d prefer audiobook study to a watered-down version of the book. It’s not helpful for citation for example, and it takes away from the nuance of the text.

I do audiobooks too. I like to read the book and listen to the audiobook. Eventually, I shadow or read along with the book.
