Definitely a bivalve but it's a lesser known deep sea one, so it'll likely be hard to find. The mantle, the shell and the tentacles are all really good identifiers. Can't see a pedicle which a brachiopod would have. noaa identifies it as likely a scallop

Although I'm not sure what part of their anatomy would be making up the soft tissue we see. Like, it makes sense as a (weird) mollusc mantle, maybe? But also I don't know what this thing is! You could tell me it was a unique deep sea weasel, and I'd be like "sure, why not, the ocean is weird."

Dear invert sky, can anyone tell me anything about this critter? Fathomverse has identified it as a bivalve, but I don't know if it actually is, since their IDs are crowdsourced. Does it even have a shell? Or are those bryozoans growing on one of those tunicates/sea slugs with the weird fake mouth?

My favorite sundews I found were the tuberous sundews that grow in seasonally very arid places. They're dormant underground when it's dry. Once the plants get enough winter rain, they grow leaves and flowers!
