I’m glad OSRS exists because it really demonstrates how much of a juggernaut this game is, then and now, by virtue of being so lightweight a phone can play it. I also have to begrudgingly respect that it made the worst grinds in gaming doable by making those same spots social areas too.

Discourse surrounding Elden ring/dark souls games is the dumbest thing in the world to me because sekiro showed everyone you can have a damn pause button in these games. Just split the difference and let offline players pause the damn game, a mode that it would be appropriate to pause in.

Looking into Pokémon Z, post gigaleak is immensely depressing for a number of reasons. Namely, Z was canned in favor of game freak making non-pokemon games. Aaaand the takeaway they got from project gear’s failure was “no, pokemon is the only thing we can do.” At least we got the Kalos Reserve.

Some corrections: it’s two to three years per game. Still needs two more years to give it the best polish it can have. At least. Ultimately, these practices should be scrapped altogether. Blame the business people, not the devs.

I really, genuinely hate when people call the game freak devs lazy when they have to get a working game out the door under… TWO years with more than a thousand models just for the roster. It’s kind of shocking that we haven’t seen a polemon game fall apart on launch until Scarlet/Violet.

Phone cameras actually aren’t that good, so seeing the discontinuation of starter digital cameras for vlogging or amateur photography feels like someone made it to the top of a ladder, and proceeded to kick down the ladder so nobody else can take the same route to success. Cutthroat.

Some notes about Elden ring DLC: -hand to hand somehow causes less stagger from humanoid enemies than any old fist weapon (i.e. your regular Caestus) not an issue with your big boys but with Malenia sized enemies are going to be a problem. -gorgeous view ahead -Drylead Dane’s hyper armor

Protonmail works fine for what I use email addresses for, tutanota is a good option too, if your inbox is expected to be email light, or just need a disposable inbox. Both have paid options that go on sale regularly, protonmail is rolling out their own version of gdrive, gdocs, etc.

I’m in my late 20s and I’ve seen this happen on smaller scales before (see: the Doom community circa the late 2000s) I know to bail when shit hits the fan, but my colleagues and friends don’t and it’s deeply frustrating.
