It's definitely not - i'm trying something similar when it comes to using blending modes and aid for straight lines/shapes in Procreate. Want to achieve a bit more painterly and expressive feel, but uncertainty is constantly hanging over my head.

After freelancing for several years, I'm leaning more towards that - taking the month off either for rest or for personal work. July just seems to be the quietest month for client work anyway, might as well do something relaxing and not spend it worrying over the silence of my email inbox.

Can't stop thinking about the conversation between @studiohoffmann.bsky.social and Jarvis about how they draw trains and cars and TVs. It makes practical sense for our tech to look the way it does, but it's also so so boring. Everything is either a black rectangle or a white cylinder. ⬛️ ⚪️
