I can understand. I am someone who truly knows the back of my eye better than my hand. They did a couple of imaging tests and I could tell there were no changes. 😜 But when the Doc wanted blood work I knew I I was in trouble. And I was.

I had developed Giant Cell Temporal Arteritis. The treatment is high dose prednisone. I used to LOVE prednisone for my back spasms, I don't like it at all now!

I've wondered about this. I have always isolated, and enjoy being in the middle of Nature in places I might be the only person for miles. How would I feel being cut of from all things Human? Can I have all the books/music/TV/YouTube? I might be OK.

I had a cousin who was a bit of a 'wild child'. Lucky for him most of the Sheriffs office were somehow related. 1960s rural SC. So, yes indeed, he made Ex-Lax chocolate cake for his HS teachers. By way of apology for letting a greased pig loose in the school and flushing 1/4 sticks of dynamite.

Starting my GHAT pretty much help cure 40+ years of depression. Amazing what getting the right hormone can do for you isn't. I just passed my 2 year mark earlier this month. I was 53 when I started. But it would be nice to tell my younger self that the suffering could have stopped sooner.

It was a few years there that I would have totally said Pilates so terribly wrong. I truly had never heard the word spoken and thought it was pronounced like 'pie lates'. I remember when I 1st heard it and relieved I hadn't embarrassed myself by saying it the way I thought. 😹

I miss visiting the Japanese Garden at the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens. One of the koi had a major back deformity and I'd always make sure it got extra food. He was there since the 80s but not when I went a couple of years ago. RIP Twistie.
