Traveling the country has taught me just how unique Portland, Oregon is as a food town. I miss it quite a bit. Our 2 favorite places to go were the (now sadly closed) Wild Abandon for dinners and the Sapphire Hotel for drinks and food. If you’re ever in PDX check them out.

I’m not saying it’s not a useful tool. It’s great at doing what it’s meant to do. It’s just not good at quickly communicating what its information means to people unfamiliar with it. I joked about Labour being in the center of the blue area but the blue area is pretty much mainstream UK politics

And fwiw I’m not a fan of the Political Compass graphs for placing parties because the axes aren’t clearly defined for a simple read. The line between Left and Right is essentially Capitalism/Communism so almost all Western parties come out as Right which can be misleading
