Not a lot of difference between editions tbh. Pretty sure 2nd just new layout etc not material changes. I'd prob aim for 3rd level, just a bit more competence but not yet got non-Tolkenian attack spells. Tho tbh 1st is fine too.

Definitely. This works especially well with "minion" races who are just doing whatever the current evil overlord tells them. Even if those races may otherwise tend to a mischievous, troublesome, or eating-human-babies nature

I guess it depends on what tone you're after, but I handwave it. The kobolds go off and promise to be good, the PCs forget about it, and in 3 sessions time they encounter a party of Kobold adventurers who have become inspired to become Mighty Heroes ™️ by a story they heard of great mercy

I was today years old when I learned there was an one final MERP module that was never published, but uploaded online by the author with ICE's permission, then presumably withdrawn, but not that hard to find with a quick google if you know its name. Tales of the West March. And it is now mine.

MERP Delivery! The Grey Mountains (rare) and a fresh Far Harad (the copy I have has no map and was hole punched 😱) 1st edition nearly complete, except for one module (arriving soon), the 2nd GM screen (oddly expensive for what it is) and the Middle Earth Map Pack (rare, >£100)

WFRP3 uses funky dice, which generates success/fail, boon/bane, and crit/fumble results. Charitably, they say don't use Banes or Fumbles to inflict damage on healing rolls because its mean. Altho they also include this Elite GM Advice ™️ (see pic)

Obviously, having completely the visuals for my new WFRP3 character sheet, I'm now schemeing to get the spreadsheet to roll the funky dice and generate the result for you...

On which note, I'd love to know how Catch 22 was written. If it's good enough for Heller, it's good enough for Tchaikovsky 😉

Thats really good, and under difficult circumstances too. I'm 10kg down, so expecting the weight loss to suddenly stop imminently!

Local councillors have way more impact on quality of life for local people than most MPs do, and yet I bet more people can name their MP than their councillor.

That rules me out then. Can't remember the name of the Labour candidate I voted for at all, just remember being annoyed they didn't live in the constituency. But then the Tories won anyway, so no loss either way.

Steps have been easy just from walking the dogs twice most days. My missus has struggled much more than me with the weight loss, and I put it down almost entirely to the fact I walk the dogs 9 times out of 10, and she's still having a bottle or two of prosecco each week

Funny thing is I haven't found it that hard. Yet. Stopped all takeaways. Stopped booze. Stopped weekend treat chocolate bars. Buy meals from Hello Fresh and just get the "healthy eating" ones. Suspect it will get harder, but so far so good

p.s. the numeric trackers won't have the blue headings. I sometimes use different colour sections when designing to help with consistency of placement etc. I forgot to take it off. But I suspect I do need to add in more differentiation of colour to improve the readability

Excel of course :-) Next up is to copy it across to Google Sheets and hope as much of the formatting goes with it as possible!

Fatigue and Stress do change more often than any other number, but it makes no sense to put numerical trackers in different places. Put them together and players always know where to look. Overall, I'm broadly happy, but it's still ugly so need to think about the visuals a bit more. /End

Finally, the bottom section contains Weapons, Armour, and the five main Status counters (Wounds, Fatigue, Stress, Shame, Corruption) On tabletop charsheets, Fatigue/Stress have big boxes at the top next to the stats. Makes sense when adding lots of little tokens in there 5/

Next is the Actions. On tabletop, these would all be cards. The first line is generic actions that everyone gets (albeit I've renamed them because I think "Try something" is more Ronseal than "Perform Stunt") (the capital letters will be funky dice icons once I install the WFRP3 font) 4/

Which talents are active depends on which you've "slotted" into your career. Coloured boxes show what type of talents you can slot, and you can put a "y" to indicate the talent is active, or an "x" to indicate it's been used and is on cool down Not sure how to track cool down without macros... 3/

The sheet is organised into 3 sections. 1st, info you need to create dice pools: stats, skills, & talents (the latter are usually cards) I've also put the Stance meter here, which replaces tiles/tokenon the tabletop. Your stance replaces Blue characteristic dice with red or green Stance dice. 2/

In an age where social media calls for justice are ever more strident, it's worth reflecting on this article. A very complex case which has had lots of focus on the horrific nature of the crime but not so much on "beyond all reasonable doubt"
