Just learned that Richard Corben took figure drawing classes his entire life. So if you're ever like "gosh he must just be born with TK TALENT" please understand that the thing he was actually born with was the desire to take figure drawing classes his entire life.

100% And I believe the closest thing to meaningful "innate talent", what primes you for something 'coming to you easily', is accidental practice. Not just with the direct thing you're good at, for example drawing, but the various less obvious abilities that factor into drawing

Live drawing is also a huge gift. People become so beautiful and interesting to you as you focus on them like that. I think there's something uplifting about it, compared to lots of the way we see people in the world
