I also like to carry the tools to help solve those problems. Not ALL the problems but it is amazing how much of an impact a collapsible sewing scissors, pocket level and ten foot/3m measuring tape can have. It really is the little things.

But also: I call my 80yo mom (she’s in NV, I’m in Germany) & she picks up, but then has to enter her code for video, so she’s swearing at “this stupid phone.” When I finally see her face, I say, “Mom, look! We’re talking to each other from 1000s of miles apart & can SEE each other! It’s incredible!
