thinking about Fantasy again as a genre: i *heavily* fucked with Bone by Jeff Smith as a kid/teen. i think the Bones as cute abstracted cartoon characters entering this sleepy fantasy world helped ease me into an aesthetic/narrative language that i often find isn't for me Bone's good shit
