Hmm. If we are going down this road, wouldn’t Bond be more of The Punisher? Like half of Batman’s appeal is that he is an autistic dude following his own sense of Justice. Bond is following orders at worst, “murdering worse guys” at best. I’m not sure that translates here.

Who/Superman, and I’d probably agree. Lots of people smarter than I am have already written a lot of words making the comparison. Not entirely sure about the other. Bond works specifically for the government. Batman is a vigilante, at most a mercenary the state sometimes calls upon.
