seems like the risk is way lower. if people were dropping like flies (or protected to be) maybe i’d take the concern more seriously.

Well again they see the prescription meds as gateways to street drugs. And methamphetamine ODs aren't that uncommon once people start smoking or snorting it. Or however people do meth lol I don't know

Right now, the fatal factor is the shortage is driving people to street drugs, which are often contaminated with fentanyl or xylazine.
