My gf (now wife) once asked me why we haven’t invented teleporters and I told her that we already have. She was like “why don’t we use it then?” I said sadly teleportation requires entanglement resources something or someone has to be turned to slush to enable teleportation to occur. She was sad.

The Green Party is kinda nuts it’s true. Labour is a bit more nuanced. The people who hate trans more than the conservatives are the even more batshit Reform. This is kinda where the country is. It’s much more liberal than US : it was the conservatives who formalised legal same sex marriage !

Can somebody clue me in on the oft-seen meme about Seb Payne not getting a safe seat? I don't know the back story but it seems kinda cruel to me given that his (at least from my limited vantage point) only "vice" seems to be want to run for parliament (which, honestly, should be lauded).

My big analysis is: we did a stupid vote to do a stupid Brexit. Having voted for a stupid Brexit which no one sensible wanted, we had to have a stupid government to implement it. And that is how we ended up with a government full of idiots in the biggest global health crisis in a century.

This is a misunderstanding of the MBA! The point of the MBA is not that it is "boring", it is one which doesn't give us the information to understand it. I.e. DM sector may be super interesting, but if it is not coupled to the rest of the universe except via gravity, we will never find out about it

The only way I can think of why he made such a huge unforced error is that David Cameron convinced him that "hey Rishi, I can stand it for you, it's OK" because (1) Cameron has no dog in the GE (2) he resents RS cancelling RS2 and Brexit vote (3) he enjoys being photo-oped with world leaders.

I thought the casino heist subplot was to open up the universe. RJ was setting up a "hey, I am giving you this huge window of opportunity to world-build" to the director of the 3rd movie. Without it, the story would have been tighter but the world is would have been too small.
