We need a new constitution at some point, but there's no way to produce one through currently existing means that wouldn't be subject to minoritarian right-wing capture. Only way to deal with that is through existing institutions for the moment.

mused once or twice of granting, like, Texas and Florida autonomous region status or something like that as a way to let them fuck off on their own & lower the heat a bit. But, of course, as many note, the problems in this country arent neatly concentrated in a neat little geographic package.
