There are ppl on here I really, really respect who don't seem to appreciate just *how* much ordinary, non-online Americans will not feel incentivized to vote for an 82-yr-old guy they were meh about to begin with who's now visibly deteriorating before their eyes - even if it means Trump wins again.

My political friend group chat made the point that compared to 2016 we’re now dealing with apathy over complacency. Hillary was doing victory laps long before the election & people resented her for it, now the tenor seems to be “we’re fucked either way” which is just so far removed from reality.
