The juxtaposition between whatever press car I'm driving that week and grocery shopping for the cheapest possible food will always be very funny to me. I have a $157k Escalade V-Series this week and I will likely drive it to Wendy's for a $5 meal.

I've spent years quoting @monkchips.bsky.social saying "tech journalists are the middle classes living an upper class lifestyle on working class wages" and I miss how much of the lifestyle went away with the pandemic
