To be fair, I don't consider disagreement to be inherently contentious. As I suggested, I believe we have different connotations of the word.

If you mean 'disagreement' as in 'fight' or 'argument', then I understand where the miscommunication lay. I simply mean it as not agreeing, i.e. having a different opinion/view.
